Happy Mother's Day!!!
I hope everyone is enjoying this mother's day. We had a busy weekend full of scouting options. We had one scout attend the Fishing rodeo for selling popcorn. We had about 20 scouts from the pack and troop attend the fishing rodeo at the Wildlife club and several families attend the troop pancake dinner. Lastly, we had 4 scouts attend the District Pinewood Derby event Preston M finished 5th, Ryan E finished 7th, Wyatt E finished 11th and Adam C finished 19th out of 34 cars way to go scouts. We are in the planning stages for summer events please take this survey (https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/9STGXFL) to help us determine what events we should choose. This Thursday is Roundtable which is when parents from other packs across the county come together to discuss topics. All parents are encouraged and welcome to come every month. This month's theme is the new cub scout 2015 program and they are also having a dutch oven cooking contest, so we are encouraging every parent in our pack who wants to cook to participate. Here is a preview of the event (http://www.pack65nc.com/uploads/7/2/0/9/7209976/roundtablemay.pdf) . Each summer the district hosts what they call Twilight Camp at Cedarock Rock Park from 6-9 each night the week of June 15-19. Travis runs this event and each night the scouts will do crafts, BB guns, Archery, games and other things.
