I hope everyone enjoyed our 2 week winter break and looking forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday.
This Tuesday is the DEADLINE for rechartering, which means if you plan to continue with the pack in 2014 you will need to pay your dues. Otherwise the scout will be dropped from the official council roster. The cost is $24 for the dues and $1 for the insurance, then optional $12 for the Boy's Life Magazine. The total for all is $37. This can be paid with scout bucks, if your scouts has money in his account. Spencer Murray is the person that can provide that information.
Thanks to all the families who came out this past Wednesday for our First day of the New Year's hike. We had nine families (23 total including siblings) come out and hike 3 miles on what turned out to be a great day!
We are continuing our SAFE food can collection. Remember the scout that turns in the most cans by the end of January will earn his family's attendance cost to our Blue and Gold Banquet. We have already turned in the cans we have collected to SAFE and they sent us a very nice thank you card.
Roundtable for those who are interested will be January 9, 2014 the topic will be rechartering. Meeting starts at 7PM and usually lasts about an hour.
District Banquet is January 16th at Shiloh Church on Grand Oaks Blvd. Scouts who sold $1000 worth of popcorn will be announced, recognized up front and receive a plaque while on stage. If you are planning on attending this event please let me know. Cost is $10 per adult if paid before January 10th.
Lastly I have attached our Winter 2014 newsletter that contains information about future events.
Yours in Scouting,
Lisa
